Non-Photography Day is a global project, it doesnt have a permenant home. The ultimate goal of Non-Photography Day is for the world population to put down their recording equipment on the 17th July. However, each year the focus Non-Photography Day changes and takes on a project, working in a specific place or with a specific population...

This year 'Non-Photography Day' base camp has travelled to the mecca of representation and technology that is Tokyo, Japan...can the Japanese (and the rest of the world) be pursuaded to rest their cameras on the 17th July?
'Non-Photography Day' started in 2006 and was respected in estimate by over 10,000 people worldwide- from the general public to exhibiting photographers- in countries from Eygpt to India. It was promoted firstly and primarily in Brighton/London followed by Melbourne and Tokyo and New York.
